I spent some time this evening plotting what to do with this glorious freedom. I plan to spend lots of quality time with my sewing machine. I'm going to work on creating a pattern for wide legs pants that actually fit me. Pants are a bear for me (I'm oddly proportioned) but I think I finally understand what I need to do to alter the pattern. I'm also going to tackle the dress I have planned for a wedding I'm going to in a couple of weeks. This will likely involve quite a bit of pattern altering or outright pattern drafting too. And lastly, I have a pair of pants I bought the other day at Goodwill that I want to alter.
Here's the pile.
Patterns, 7 yards of muslin, gorgeous silks and cottons, and 3 days of peace and quiet. I think I'm set! I'll let you know on Sunday how it went.
That sounds like a blissful break from the norm. Looking forward to seeing your handmade trousers! x
